Alshabaab, the strongest Somali Islamist militia who is fighting to topple the authority in Mogadishu has spoken about the recently fight that took place outskirt of Bosaaso, the trade hub of Puntland state in Somalia in which locals led by Sheekh Mohamed Said Atam and Puntland forces fought.

Alshabaab Spokesman, Sheekh Ali Dheere who is based in Mogadishu and is leading the fight against UN backed but weak Somali government has distant themselves from the fight in and around Bosaaso in Puntland.

Sheikh Ali Dheere has said to local media in Mogadishu that ''Those who claiming that Alshabaab and Puntland are fighting in Bosaaso are not correct, the fight is between the locals who are against injustice rule upon them''

Recently local Online news outlets who are backing Puntland Leader because of clan has reported widely that the fight is between Alshabaab and puntland government, media outlets such as Horseedmedia and Garowe online in which the son of the current president owns has strongly called for the government to fight against so called Alshabaab in Puntland while the country has been effected and semi ruled by pirates in Garowe and Ayl town of the Indian Ocean coast.

Also, recently there is been an audio tape in which is been claimed that Sheikh Atam has said that he is part of Alshabaab, the tape's authenticity has been disputed.

The root of the conflict in Bosaaso is the Mining rights and actions that hase been taken by the succession authorities in relation to the local Dubais clan in which authority has jailed many of them for claiming more representative in Bosaaso and equal share of the port and Airports income.

In 2006, Clan based militia led by Mohamed Said Atam has fought against Ade Muse’s invading militia in Majiyahan in which Ade, then President of Puntland, gave license to mine to unknown Australian mining company called Ranges Resources, the later have since change its name to African Oil and still active in Puntland, not in Majiyahan thought.

Since there has been uneasy between the Local Dubais Clan of Warsangeli and Farole administration as president Farole was part the team that brought the Australian Company when he was the Finance Minister.
